FROST Numbers (FTNO) is an experimental type project that puts numbers at the forefront. Each typeface in the collection is built primarily around its number set. The numbers set the tone, and the letters follow. In traditional type design, the alphabet typically leads, with numerals added afterwards to complement the anatomy of the letterforms. Here, that order is reversed. Numbers are the foundation, establishing the structure and rhythm of the typeface. Letters are shaped in response, drawing on the proportions and details set by the numerals.
